May Bank Holiday Weekend

One of our current favourite short trips.

Park at the National Trust Car Park, near Hunters Inn, Exmoor and walk along the valley to Heddon's Mouth Beach. The beach is home to a restored 19th century lime kiln. The stones make a change from our normal sandy beaches and in the past we have seen seal here.

The walking bit takes about an hour but this of course depends on how long you take building your stone scupture - we thought that this one was a pretty good effort.

The link takes you to the National Trust website and full description of the walk. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/heddon-valley/trails/gentle-walk-to-hed...
